Dr Saleem Wahid Saleem was a great poet, who died in Lahore in 1981 in oblivion. He was a well-published poet whose works were published in all the major literary magazines of his time including Nuqush, Adab-e-Latif, Adabi Duniya, Shair (then published from Agra by Ijaz Siddiqui). But during the last two decades of his life, Dr Saleem Wahid Saleem had become almost a recluse. Therefore, his memories started to fade. However, Dr Saleem Wahid Saleem has been resurrected as a poet after the publication of his magnum opus "Khayyam-e-Nau". I came to know about him through the blog www.saleemwahid.blogspot.com and was impressed after going through Dr. Saleem Wahid's poems and ghazals. Then I decided to launch a page about him. Here I am presenting an introduction of Dr. Saleem Wahid Saleem , which has been written by his son Muslim Saleem on saleemwahid.blogspot.com and khojkhabarnews.com.His epic poems include "Khudayan-e-Jamhoor", which he had written against the autocratic rule of General Ayub Khan and had also resorted to 13-day hunger strike against it.
